Amy Quick Parrish is the author Into Dust - The Thunderbird Chronicles, an Amazon #1 Bestseller in Teen Action/Adventure and Into the Storm - The Thunderbird Chronicles Book 2, a bestseller in SciFi/Time Travel. A graduate of the University of Michigan, she began her film career as an intern for Richard Linklater’s Detour Filmproduction and as an apprentice at the Austin Film Society. Her screenplay, The Court of Lions, won the Spirit of Moondance Award at the Moondance International Film Festival and her short film, Hokey Smokes! Frank Allison and the Odd Sox won an Award of Merit at the Indie Fest. Other screenplays and pilot scripts and teleplays have placed well in contests such as The Austin Film Festival, Sundance Screenwriting Labs, Slamdance, the BlackList, Page, WeScreenplay, Scriptapalooza, and more. Her shorts have screened at film festivals across the country. Most recently, the short horror film she wrote and directed, 40 Bucks, premiered at the Hang Onto Your Shorts Festival in Asbury Park, NJ in April 2018.

Because my day job is high school Spanish teacher, my thoughts are often focused on the history of Spain, castles, the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, and  my screenplays reflect that. My favorite class is Spanish Film and Conversation. Beware, or I'll rope you in as a guest speaker!
